Leander Crib/Bed (Walnut)
Leander Crib/Bed (Walnut)

Leander is always beautiful, simple and functional. The Leander bed is the ONLY crib that changes with your baby and follows their development from newborn to 8 to 10 years of age (depending on height). Five pieces of furniture in one design, the bed is built in parts that are assembled – so it always suits a child’s age and needs. Includes adaptable mattress, two fitted sheets and a wooden toddler conversion kit. The round, soft forms make the Leander bed a wonderful piece of furniture to use and to look at. Its smaller size suits modern urban dwellings and is ideal for twins (fit two cribs easily in one room). Available in Walnut and Natural (White Wash) finishes to suit any décor.

With a critical eye for functionality, simplicity and aesthetics firmly rooted in Scandinavian craftsmanship, Leander creates distinct, yet simply designed cradles, beds and bedding. The Leander Bed combines user-friendliness with a considered design that’s elegant and functional. The bed grows with the child as they progress from baby to toddler to older child – one product gives you four amazing pieces of furniture in a single package! Inspired by nature and his travels around the world, creator Stig Leander Nielsen combines his knowledge of materials with the basic needs of everyday life. Leander products radiate insight into simple, timeless functionalism and solid workmanship.

Stig Leander’s idea for the Leander cradle came about from a real need in real life. Someone in the family had twins and it was difficult to take care of both children at the same time. On the whole, the real world is the basis for Stig Leander’s work. By observing the life of children, he designs furniture that speaks and gives room for experience and development. With an education in craftsmanship and a portion of practical sense, Stig Leander has gained an understanding of the material’s qualities and possibilities.
